Habit tracker app

RitualSprout is a habit tracker that runs in your browser on any device, keeps your check-ins in your own account, and lets you take them out or delete them at any time. There is no download, no trial and no payment step.

  • Works in the browser
  • Google sign-in
  • Free, with no payment step

What you get

The whole product in one list, so you can decide before you sign in.

Habits and schedules

Up to one hundred habits, each daily or Monday to Friday, with a colour and a short symbol.

Progress you can read

Today's ring, a thirty-five day calendar, completion rate, current and longest streaks, and per-habit bars.

Optional reminders

One email per day at a local time you choose, sent only while something scheduled is still open.

Private circles

Invite-only groups of up to twelve people that share today's counts and nothing else.

Your data, portable

Export a readable JSON backup, or delete your cloud data and Google-linked account outright.

Resilient saving

Changes save optimistically, a device copy is kept if the network drops, and a newer cloud copy is never overwritten silently.

Web app, not an app store download

Being a website is a deliberate trade. It is worth knowing exactly what that means in practice.

  • It runs in any current browser on phone, tablet and desktop, and the layout adapts down to small screens.
  • You can add it to a phone home screen from the browser and it opens without browser chrome.
  • There is no App Store or Play Store listing, no push notification and no home-screen widget.
  • If the network drops mid-change, a clearly labelled device copy is kept and can be retried when you reconnect.

Accounts, privacy and price

The parts people usually have to dig through a pricing page or a policy to find.

  • Sign-in is Google only. There is no password to manage and no email or social alternative yet.
  • Habits are stored against your account and are only read back for you — browser access to the database is closed.
  • There is no paid tier, no trial timer and no payment step anywhere in the product today.
  • Export produces a JSON file of your profile, habits, check-ins and circle memberships. Deletion removes the cloud data and the sign-in account.

What this page does not promise

Useful search results start with an accurate promise, so the current limits are on the page rather than discovered after signing in.

  • Google is the only way to sign in, so an account is required for anything that syncs.
  • No native mobile app, push notifications, widgets, health-device integrations or calendar imports.
  • No import of an existing tracker, no habit archiving, notes or numeric targets yet.
  • RitualSprout is a habit record and reflection tool, not medical, mental-health, or behavioural advice.
  • It does not guarantee an outcome, and a streak is only a record of the check-ins entered by the user.
  • Private notes stay private; accountability circles are invite-only and expose bounded aggregate progress.

Questions about habit tracker app

Is RitualSprout free?

Yes. There is no paid plan, trial timer or payment step in the product today, and the free template on this site works without an account at all.

Do I need to install anything?

No. It runs in the browser. You can add it to a phone home screen if you want an icon, but there is nothing to download from an app store.

How do I sign in?

With a Google account through Firebase Authentication. Email and password sign-in is not available.

Can I get my data out again?

Yes. Settings exports a readable JSON file with your profile, habits, check-in history and circle memberships, and can also delete everything including the sign-in account.
