Visual habit tracker

Seeing a month of effort at once is the point of a visual tracker. RitualSprout uses shading, rings and bars to make patterns obvious, and pairs every one of them with a number so the picture is never the only source of truth.

  • Five-week heatmap
  • Per-habit bars
  • Colour is never the only signal

Four views of the same check-ins

Different questions need different shapes, so the same data is drawn four ways.

Today's ring

A single ring showing how many of today's scheduled habits are complete, with the fraction printed inside it.

The five-week calendar

Thirty-five days of shading, aligned to weekdays so repeating patterns line up in columns.

Per-habit bars

One bar per habit for the last thirty-five days, in that habit's own colour, with the percentage beside it.

Streak counters

Current and longest streaks per habit, plus your best streak across everything you track.

Designed to stay readable

A visual tracker is useless if the visuals are the only way in. These choices are in the shipped interface.

Example only. A real calendar is filled in from your own check-ins, and every day carries its date and completed-of-scheduled count as text.
  • Every calendar day exposes its date and completed-of-scheduled count as text, so screen readers and hover both get the real numbers.
  • The darkest completion level switches its date to light text so the number stays legible on the deepest fill.
  • Habit colours are chosen from a fixed palette that stays distinguishable against the paper background.
  • Progress bars are always accompanied by their percentage, and the ring by its fraction.

Colour that belongs to the habit

Each habit carries a colour and a short symbol you choose, so it is recognisable at a glance in every view.

  • Five palette colours: tangerine, lagoon, lavender, sunflower and berry.
  • A short symbol of up to four characters — a letter or an emoji both work.
  • The colour follows the habit into the check-in list and its progress bar.
  • Completion shading in the calendar stays on one green scale, so it is never confused with habit colour.

What this page does not promise

Useful search results start with an accurate promise, so the current limits are on the page rather than discovered after signing in.

  • The visual history covers the last thirty-five days. Yearly grids and long-term charts are not built yet.
  • The interface is light-themed only. There is no dark mode or custom colour picker.
  • Charts are drawn from your own check-ins, so a new account starts empty rather than with sample data.
  • RitualSprout is a habit record and reflection tool, not medical, mental-health, or behavioural advice.
  • It does not guarantee an outcome, and a streak is only a record of the check-ins entered by the user.
  • Private notes stay private; accountability circles are invite-only and expose bounded aggregate progress.

Questions about visual habit tracker

What do the shades in the habit heatmap mean?

Four levels: nothing completed, less than half of the scheduled habits, most of them, and everything scheduled that day. The exact counts are also written into each day's label.

Is the visual tracker usable without relying on colour?

Yes. Every shaded day carries its date and its completed-of-scheduled count as text, and every bar and ring is printed with its number.

Can I choose my own habit colours?

You can choose from five preset colours and a short symbol per habit. A free-form colour picker is not available.

How far back does the visual history go?

The calendar and per-habit bars cover the last thirty-five days. Streak counters look further back through your saved check-ins.
